Bhangarh Fort is located on the frontier of Sariska Tiger reserve within the Aravali range in the relinquished town of Bhangarh, Rajasthan. It is a demolished town lying on the borders of Jaipur and Alwar and is the place of major tourist attraction and is believed to be one of the most haunted historical Places in the world. It is around 220 Kms from Delhi, a city in itself possessing temples, royal palace, marketplaces, several entry gates and ‘havelis’.


Bhangarh Kila was established in 1573 by King Bhagwant Das as on the domicile of his younger son Madho Singh who ruled Bhangarh his entire life. Madho Singh named the city after his grandfather Man Singh (Bhan Singh) and now the city is recognized as “Bhangarh”.


As one enters the fort through the main gate, many temples can be found in a tumbledown state; though, completely abandoned by the people around. The temples around are of Hindu deities. They are Hanuman Temple, Someshwar Temple, Gopinath Temple, Mangla Devi Temple, Keshav Rai Temple, Navin Temple and Ganesha Temple.


Bhangarh Fort might be renowned for its cursed and bewildering presence but it can be toured as a place that is popular for its serene beauty and environment.
